Today is the first day of a new month, a month in which I am going to attempt to post much more often than I have been. I would try for everyday, but I know there will be days I will not have access to my computer- and on those days I'd rather be wrapped in the arms of the most amazing boy in the world than anywhere near a computer. So no posts this weekend. I'm sure there will also be days where I come home and pass out- like next Thursday, in the brief amount of time I'm home between work and class, I'd much rather take a shower and make sure all my homework is done, than post here. But for the most part I want to try and get at least 20 posts up this month. We'll see how that goes.
So some thoughts on this month.
1. Check out the song July, July by The Decemberists. I promise its amazing.
2. The Fourth! Fireworks aren't usually my favorite thing, but lately I have becoming more and more of a fan. Plus the Fourth usually means spending time with people you know and care about, and in general just fun outside. We have a tradition in my family to go to my cousins every Fourth. A ton of people, both friends and family, gather into my cousin's back yard- play in their pool, jump on the trampoline, enjoy good food and then watch the fireworks. The best part about the fireworks is that my cousins live very close to where they do Manassas City's fireworks. So we get to watch professionally done fireworks from their back yard. The second half of the tradition is going to Mike's mother's house in Maryland for the weekend. It doubles as a Fourth of July party, and Mike's birthday celebration. Also, I get to see Alan and his family this weekend. I cannot wait.
3. Vacation. July brings family vacation time- something I get to take part in separately from my family. Hold on, let me back up. My step-Grandfather has a time share in Ocean City, MD where we've vacationed for as long as mom and Mike have been together- and sometimes before that. However, now that our family includes 6 people, the suite is rather small for all of us... and since I have math class this summer- I get to stay home. I am really excited about the whole thing. Last summer I got to stay home because I am not a fan of the beach at all. It was the quietest week in my house ever, even with the dogs. I remember even having to turn off the automatic air freshener, because it made me jump whenever it went off. It was that quiet. I am looking forward to it immensely.
4. Yay for lists!

You're right...great song. :) (Plus, July is my b-day month, so I'm biased.)
