Grownin' Up

http://www.wset.com/news/stories/0908/555985.html

This video was filmed on campus in my favorite dining hall, West End. As, the video states, the dinning halls have been more crowded then ever this year with a record 9300 off-campus students buying on campus meal plans. I, proudly, happen to be one of them.

The main point of me sharing the video with you though, is that on Tuesday I did something very uncharacteristic of myself, and agreed to be interviewed by the newscaster, whose name I can't remember. I obviously do not watch the news that often. Although I did not make the cut for the final quick little video, just talking to a news crew is so uncharacteristic of me that I am very proud of myself. Actually, I'm rather glad my interview wasn't broadcast on local television.

Still, how many of you would ever expect me to agree to randomly talk to a stranger, in front of a camera? I know before the moment I said yes, I wouldn't have.

You would have been SO much better on the news than the guy they used! (No offense to him.) I know exactly what you mean though about doing something out of your comfort zone. I am 34 and I still don't do much out of my own!
