I'm back! No more computer woes (fingers crossed). After a week without a laptop and stealing internet time off my mom's frustraiting laptop I took my computer with me to Alan's for some internal dissection. Far away from curious, prying baby fingers as I could get it. Most of the time I was there I ignored it and took advantage of the quiet, relaxing time with my love; away from my family. Finally I took it out and handed it to Alan to go to the bathroom - and when I came back holy crap that boy had worked his magic, it was up and running. He didn't even have to take it apart, just pushed the on button. Sure, maybe it had dried over the week when I was using as a expensive piece of dresser clutter, but I'm going with he's amazing.
All of my files were still there, and just as I left them. The only hitch was my keys weren't exactly functional. After a week of relying on copying and pasting random letters I got a new keyboard. Boy does my boy spoil me; and I have to admit I love it. But please, no one tell him; I try to spoil him too but he's far more successful at it than I am.
My new keyboard is wonderful. Its wireless which is pretty sweet- I can lay in bed, aka on the couch, and type away regardless of how I'm laying. I haven't tested out the range yet, but who knows what fun things I can do, like evade Logan. Hopefully the new keyboard will inspire me to write more, but we'll see.
