Almost An Epidemic

College is a very nasty place to get a cold. Once one person gets it, its very hard to stop the slew of symptoms from spreading to everyone else on campus. The weather is miserable, the wind is bitter, and classes are too important to miss. The population of students at Virgina Tech currently exhibiting flu like symptoms is 9%. If we reach 10% by tonight, the campus has to close for three days to give the students some time to rest, and hopefully get better. In an effort to keep us all healthy, the RA's passed out bottles of Purell and these little pocket thermometers. The thermometers are reusable, and so far mine seems to be pretty accurate.

The only bad thing about that is- I currently have a sight fever. With a temperature of just 98.9, most people could proudly boast being very healthy; but with an average temperature of 96.2 I'm feeling a bit run down. Tonight I think is going to be a Ny'Quil night.

Hopefully I didn't get the flu, and I've just got a mild cold, but so far my sore joints, headache, cough, and of course fever, seem to be pointing towards the worse of the two. The only thing is, with the slew of other problems my body likes to throw at me, I'm not sure which are symptoms of being sick and which have to do with other things. I'm pretty sure that the joint pain is from the weather being super cold- because that isn't unusual; and the fatigue could be easily attributed to the wicked two and a half weeks of PMS I just underwent. The headache, fever, and the big tell- sore eyes, make me think I am getting sick though.
Oh its going to be a great weekend.
